A compact connected planter that makes changing CO₂ levels visible through a calm colour-coded light.

MODUplant Air 100 combines biophilia with environmental awareness in the 100 mm MODUflow™ format. Integrated side magnets create the physical connection with compatible modules, while the sensing electronics help you notice when an occupied workspace may need fresh air.

The physical LED communicates CO₂ level only as a general indicator of ventilation and air freshness. Temperature and humidity monitoring will be available through the MODUflow companion app, which is in development.

Key features

  • 100 mm connected modular format
  • Integrated side magnets connect with other MODUflow modules
  • CO₂ sensing with green, yellow, amber, red and pulsing-red feedback
  • Temperature and humidity monitoring planned through the companion app
  • Removable inner pot for straightforward planting and care
  • Weighted satin-black powder-coated steel base for stability
  • Small-batch assembled and functionally tested in Bristol
  • Steel base manufactured in South Wales
  • Available in Cement Grey, Brick Red and Marble White

Materials & manufacture

The outer housing is made from bio-based PLA. The removable inner pot and connection ring are PETG, selected for additional toughness and moisture resistance. The weighted steel base has a satin-black powder-coated finish. Electronics are assembled and each finished product is functionally tested in Bristol.

Production & dispatch

Made and tested in small batches. Please allow 10–15 working days for dispatch while production is being established.

Plant and growing medium are not included. MODUplant Air uses CO₂ as a practical indicator of ventilation; it does not directly measure VOCs, particles, allergens, mould, smoke or every aspect of indoor air quality, and it does not replace specialist testing.

01

Connected system

Integrated side magnets create a secure physical connection with compatible MODUflow modules, while every product can still be used independently.

02

CO₂ air sensing

The physical LED shows CO₂ through a calm colour cue. Temperature and humidity will be available through the companion app.

03

Adaptable system

Use one module on its own, then combine and rearrange the system as your workspace and routine change.

04

Batch tested in Bristol

Electronics are assembled and each finished unit is functionally tested in Bristol.

CO₂ sensing

Read the room at a glance.

CO₂ naturally builds up in occupied rooms. MODUplant Air turns the measured level into a calm visual prompt when your workspace may need fresh air.

The physical LED displays CO₂ only. Temperature and humidity monitoring will be available through the companion app, which is in development.

StatusGood air
CO₂ levelBelow 1000 ppm

Fresh enough to keep working comfortably.

StatusGetting elevated
CO₂ level1000–1199 ppm

Air is starting to build up.

StatusVentilation needed
CO₂ level1200–1599 ppm

Open a window or door if practical.

StatusPoor air
CO₂ level1600–1999 ppm

Ventilate the space to refresh the room.

StatusVery poor air
CO₂ level2000+ ppm

A stronger prompt to ventilate as soon as practical.

CO₂ is a practical indicator of ventilation. It does not directly measure VOCs, particles, allergens, mould or smoke.

Calm, not alarming. The guide provides everyday ventilation prompts rather than safety or exposure limits.

How it works

Each module works independently. Integrated side magnets create the physical connection between compatible products, allowing the system to be combined and rearranged. Compatible smart products are also being developed to communicate through the MODUflow companion app.

The companion app is in development.

Materials & manufacture

The outer housing is made from bio-based PLA. The removable inner pot and connection ring use PETG for additional toughness and moisture resistance.

Every module uses a weighted satin-black powder-coated steel base manufactured in South Wales. Products are printed, assembled and checked in Bristol; MODUplant Air is also functionally tested in Bristol.
