The case and selected inlays are made from bio-based PLA. Removable inlays are also available in lacquered solid oak and lacquered solid beech. PETG is reserved for small functional connection components where additional toughness is useful. The weighted steel base has a satin-black powder-coated finish.

Every module uses a weighted satin-black powder-coated steel base manufactured in South Wales. Products are printed, assembled and checked in Bristol; MODUplant Air is also functionally tested in Bristol.
